The name chosen was Lotus Diamond and it came to life in the streets of Philadelphia. I believe that if you are going to talk about this piece you have to talk about the vibrancy of the colors. Shepard Fairey, the one and only American contemporary artist made sure that every single person that walks on that street, will automatically have their eyes towards the Lotus Diamond. Obey Prapaganda follows the “phenomenology” concept, and it is described by Shepard as an “experiment” of it. It is also described as “the process of letting things manifest themselves”. Walking by this piece is like walking by an extremely important person. It has such a strong presence that does not allow you to ignore it. The colors for me are just a representation of the aura of the mural itself.
